Butterfly Breezes

I cased this card from our wonderful SU monthly card workshop demonstrator (go Diane!).  She comes up with the most beautiful cards each and every month! The flowers are Stippled Blossoms done in Baja Breeze on top of En Francais done in Crumb Cake on Whisper White cardstock.  Then more En Francais on the Baja Breeze cardstock and just a hint of black borders.  The sentiment was done in Stazon with clear embossing powder and the butterflies are Taylored Expressions dies done in Baja Breeze with vellum on top.  There is just a hint of glitter around the edges of the Baja Breeze butterflies (you have to click on the pic to see it). Oops!  I just noticed one of the pearls came off in the photo shoot! A quick fix, but I'm not doing the photo shoot again!  LOL!  Anyway, the glitter is Sparkle N Sprinkle's Waterfall - semi transparent and just the right touch! Now the bow was a bit of a problem since I didn't have any Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon (help! Diane!), so I took the Very Vanilla, spritzed it with rubbing alcohol and colored it with Copic E55, Light Caramel.  Close enough, don't you think? I did several cards, and on some I used a black bow, but I think I like the Caramel best. Thanks for looking!

Birdsong Christmas

I'm up to 30 cards for Christmas!  Woo-hoo!  I've had this Magenta Musical Bird Collage for some time and haven't really seen much done with it in Blogland for inspiration.  So I kept it fairly simple and just stamped it in Memento's Cottage Ivy and distressed it a little with Antique Linen ink.  The edge is lined with Krylon's Gold Leaf pen, as is the embossed background.
The cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, and Handsome Hunter.
The tag is done with Darcie's Shrink Plastic and a Stampin Up sentiment (no clue which set).

Wagging Tail

I had to re-stock my groomer with doggy sympathy cards so this is a quick and easy concoction using scrap DP and Kraft and Chocolate Chip cardstock (not sure what the blue is).  Each one of the seven cards has slightly different DP, but they all turned out nicely.  The stamp set is Stampin Up's "D is for Dog".  My Chocolate Chip ink is drying out, so I used Memento's Rich Cocoa.  Poor Deann learned about three clients' dogs passing on the same day!

Holiday Sparkle

A card this sparkly is really hard to photograph!  I tried both black and white backgrounds last night and couldn't capture the true colors, so this afternoon I took the card outside and tried sunlight, shade and everything in between and as you can see, I still ended up with three different looks!  The Medallion sticker is mounted on light green and gold foil paper and popped up with dimensionals.  The background DP is from the Luxury Stack by DCWV.  The stars are a border punch with gold foil cardstock behind them and then two different ribbons run down the center.  The rest is just from my stash.  All that shine and I didn't even use glitter!

Sunset Birthday

This sticker was given to me by my dear friend Terry the day we were playing with my latest purchase from Sparkle N Sprinkle - Cloud Nine Velvet Microfine Glitter.  The sticker is mounted on sticky paper that has been covered with the Cloud Nine glitter and then colored with Copics.  I then cut it out and attached it to the background with dimensionals.  The background was done with a digi stamp from Stitchy Bear Digi Stamps which I put into my Inkscape program and reversed so that the trees were both facing the center.  The trees were then masked and the background was sponged with Stampin Up inks - Peach Parfait, Apricot Appeal, Summer Sun, Pool Party, Tempting Turquoise, and Taken with Teal.  I colored the trees with Copics, added a second layer of two of the palm fronds on each tree so that it would lay over the center sticker and added some stickles.  The sand at the base of the trees is sparkled up with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Florida Beach Glitter and the sentiment is embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Cerulean Star embossing powder.  A great card for a cruise lover!
