Garden Gnome Birthday

My mother is turning 87 in a few weeks and she just redid her Gnome Garden (lifting concrete blocks and all! - you've seen the Mr. Clean and his grandma commercial - that's my mom!).  So I thought a Garden Gnome birthday card was very appropriate.  The box card is a file from SVGcuts.com -it's from their summer boxes, the party celebrations box.  The Gnomes are from My Scrap Chick - they have amazing files! I sized the gnomes down a bit so they would fit in the box.

I just love the little daydreamer at the bottom (that's me!).

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Fun with Shapes and More - Midsummer Night's Dream (elves, fairy tales, love, marriage)

Halloween Card in a Box

I think I'm getting the hang of this cut file thing!  So much fun!  I saw a box card similar to this on Pinterest and thought I'd give it a try.  The piano box cut file is from SVGcuts.com and then I added various files from My Scrap Chick (Halloween Layout, Haunted House, and Quick Cards).  The black cat is from Silhouette.  I can't wait to give this to my grandsons!

I am entering this into the following challenges:
My Time to Craft - Halloween
A Creative Romance - Anything Goes
Vandicrafts Artistry - All Hallows Eve
Great Impressions - Get your Spook On!

French Anniversary

I love special request cards!  It feels like I've finished a masterpiece once I'm done!

This card is for my friend's brother, who is going to Paris for his 30th anniversary.  The stamp sets are Artistic Etchings and Postage Due done on Very Vanilla cardstock with Crumb Cake ink.  The Eiffel Tower is done with Bavarian Bronze EP and the papers are Pool Party and Early Espresso.  The sentiment is done with my Silhouette on Early Espresso.  The stamped pieces are a little distressed and sponged with Early Espresso.
The inside left is stamped with En Francais and the heart cut out with my Silhouette.  The birds are SU Bird Punch.  The wording is computer generated and requested by her.  So adorable!

I am entering this card in the following challenges:

Daring Card Makers - colors in inspiration photo
Sister Act Card Challenge - Anything Goes
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
Frosted Designs - Anything Goes w/Stamping
Creative Knockouts - Tic Tac Toe - Stamp, Sentiment, Ribbon

Winter Wonderland

I made these cards as a birthday gift for my mother, but I think I need to make some more for myself.  They are so much nicer in real life because the depth of the dies and the sparkle on the trees does not show up well in the photos. I only made two in English and the rest in German, so Mom can mail them to the relatives in Germany.
The trees is a die by Taylored Expressions and the deer is by Memory Box.  The bird is a MS punch and the sentiment is done with my Silhouette.  The glitter on the trees is Sparkle N Sprinkle's Sparkling Snow.
My friend Terry did these in a monochromatic color scheme, which I really loved, and meant to copy, but then I changed one thing and then another and before you knew it, I had a completely different card!  But thank you Terry, for lending me the dies!

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Scrapy Land - Anything Goes w/dies
Christmas Stampin All Year Long - Anything Goes
Sparkle Creations Christmas Card Challenge- Anything Goes
Completely Christmas - Anything Goes
Allsorts - Early Christmas

My Scrap Chick cards

You may be seeing a lot more of this type of card with cut files from My Scrap Chick - I just love their stuff!  Both of these cards are for the same 2 year old - so I had to make them quick and easy.  The first is made with My Scrap Chick's Party Girls and the second is one of their Easel Cards and they have lots more!  I can't wait to do some Christmas cards with cut files for my Silhouette!
Thanks for visiting!
See you soon!
