I cased a card on pinterest (found HERE) and it turned out to look nothing like the card I cased! So the question is....Did I really case it? First of all I used a Martha Stewart butterfly, which wasn't nearly as large and then I used SU Petite Petals and the leaves from Stippled Blossoms. And the color combo is much subtler. Love the Hardwood background done with Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla. The flowers were also stamped with Crumb Cake on a piece of watercolor paper that I splotched with six different colors of Twinkling H2O's first. You can see the sheen of the flowers better in the photo below. The best part, though, is the sentiment that I didn't have a label to fit on, so my good friend Terry showed me how to trace and cut on the Silhouette! Thank you Terry! I just love it!

Gerlinde, this is fabulous! Love the pale, delicate colors - the woodgrain background is amazing with the flowers. It has a beachy garden look to it - love it!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! I think the answer to you question is that the Pinterest card was inspiration instead of casing.
ReplyDeleteJust love it! Love the way you wove the ribbon around the flowers at the bottom. Love the sparkle on the flowers. Love the color combo of the whole card. Ok, just LOVE the card! And I have been meaning to tell you that I love the fact that you take so much time and care in taking your photo's of the cards. You always color coordinate the background papers in your pictures - always looks so professional!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Gerlinde! All those amazing flowers - but my very bestest favoritest part is the ribbon laced throughout the pretties. A wonderful card in every way - thank you for sharing! hugs, de
