All Dogs go to Heaven!

This is my latest batch of pet sympathy for the grooming shop.  My friend says she always needs at east three at a time.  Very strange.  I used the Silhouette to cut the dog silhouettes and the background is done with Gorgeous Grunge stamp set.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Very simple to do. I'm still working on a card for a cat that she groomed.  Hope she doesn't need any more soon, because I always cry when I pick out the inside verses.

Will be back soon!

Butterfly Breezes

I cased this card from our wonderful SU monthly card workshop demonstrator (go Diane!).  She comes up with the most beautiful cards each and every month! The flowers are Stippled Blossoms done in Baja Breeze on top of En Francais done in Crumb Cake on Whisper White cardstock.  Then more En Francais on the Baja Breeze cardstock and just a hint of black borders.  The sentiment was done in Stazon with clear embossing powder and the butterflies are Taylored Expressions dies done in Baja Breeze with vellum on top.  There is just a hint of glitter around the edges of the Baja Breeze butterflies (you have to click on the pic to see it). Oops!  I just noticed one of the pearls came off in the photo shoot! A quick fix, but I'm not doing the photo shoot again!  LOL!  Anyway, the glitter is Sparkle N Sprinkle's Waterfall - semi transparent and just the right touch! Now the bow was a bit of a problem since I didn't have any Crumb Cake seam binding ribbon (help! Diane!), so I took the Very Vanilla, spritzed it with rubbing alcohol and colored it with Copic E55, Light Caramel.  Close enough, don't you think? I did several cards, and on some I used a black bow, but I think I like the Caramel best. Thanks for looking!

Wagging Tail

I had to re-stock my groomer with doggy sympathy cards so this is a quick and easy concoction using scrap DP and Kraft and Chocolate Chip cardstock (not sure what the blue is).  Each one of the seven cards has slightly different DP, but they all turned out nicely.  The stamp set is Stampin Up's "D is for Dog".  My Chocolate Chip ink is drying out, so I used Memento's Rich Cocoa.  Poor Deann learned about three clients' dogs passing on the same day!

With Sympathy

My aunt in Germany (on my mother's side) passed away a week before my dad and I'm just now getting around to a card for the cousins.  This is the English version, of course, - theirs has the German "Aufrichtige Anteilnahme" on it.  This card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest by Monica's Passions Blog.  Hers had some green on it, but I stuck with plain black and white.  I think it's all pretty self explanatory- I had never thought of using the two step bird punch on a sympathy card - genius!
The ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon and the buckle is from Amazon.

Mo Manning Sympathy

Thank you Deann! - For getting me inspired to get into action again!  My only New Year's resolution is to finish all the cards I started last year! LOL!  And there are a LOT of them!  I've had these adorable little angels colored for some time now but just couldn't find the right background papers for them.  This one is Graphics 45 "A Ladies Diary" and goes perfectly with the Wild Wasabi green.  The clouds are from a template I found online and covered with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Twinkling Clouds.  The sympathy banner I cut freehand.  The corner dies are Sizzix.
Deann needed three of these, so I have slightly different versions.  The pink background paper is Paper Pizzazz and the lavender is from a paper pad called Dreamcatcher.  The corner embellishments and oval frame on the lavender one  are simply white cardstock colored with a gold leafing pen. And the blue one uses Ballet Blue with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Shimmer embossing powder.
Thanks for looking and hopefully You'll be seeing me soon again!

Pet Sympathy

Just a simple little pet sympathy card today done as a consignment for a dear friend who owns a dog grooming shop to give to one of her clients.  The stamp is an old PSX stamp I found at a garage sale and the paw print is from SU - "D is for Dog".  Coloring dogs is a whole new ballgame - will have to keep practicing, but I'm sure the hand made card will be much appreciated by the client.

Blossom

Had to take a short pause from my "fun" cards and re-stock my Sympathy cards.  It seems I can go a year without needing one sympathy card and then there is a run on them and I'm depleted within a week.   I've been wanting to use the Stampin Up Build a Blossom for a while now and finally had my chance. The possibilities are endless with this and I had a hard time with the details, but it finally came together.  Would love to make an all occasion set with this to give as gifts.  The colors on the blossom are Barely Banana and Summer Sun.  Will have to try some other combinations.  Thanks for looking!
