Pink Birthday

I'm not a big lover of the color pink, but I have several people in my life who are and would be delighted to get a pink card.  This is my first attempt at a triple layer card and it is quite fun.  The layers were done with Stampin Up's Hello Doily in Crumb Cake and a Martha Stewart Butterfly set in Sparkle N Sprinkle's Petal Pink embossing powder.  They were then spritzed with Pink Taffy Glimmer Mist.  The base cardstock is Crumb Cake and Pink Pirouette.  The main Butterfly was embossed on a pink vellum with Petal Pink and the ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The flowers and bling are just from my stash. It looks very Spring-like, don't you think?

Lady Bug Luck

In Germany, Lady Bugs are a symbol of Good Luck and since I'm not Irish, I thought the Lady Bugs more appropriate for this month.  The Lady Bugs are from Stampin Up's Darling Dots set and done with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Firecracker Red Embossing Powder, dotted with some no name black glitter.  The HB sentiment is from Sparkle N Sprinkle's birthday stamp set #416   and is embossed with SNS Ice Rink. The cardstock colors are Bashful Blue, Gumball Green and Green Galore.  The background leaves are cut with my Silhouette.  Someday I hope to be able to figure out how to use the print and cut feature!

Happy Birthday!

I can't believe it! I am OUT of birthday cards!  How did that happen?   So I'm resurrecting some of my older Stampin Up stamps to restock. This stamp is from the Darling Dots set and I've jazzed up the cupcake with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Aqua Shimmer and White Spark embossing powders.  The cardstock is Stampin Up's Pool Party, and the sentiment is SU, but I don't remember the name of the set.  The circle punches are SU but the border on the sentiment is Fiskars.  The ribbon is Really Reasonable Ribbon folded on a piece of Tearific Tape from Sparkle N Sprinkle.  The little red rhinestones are just from my stash.

Another Doggy Sympathy

I can't believe I've whipped out six of these in an afternoon!  I guess dog grooming shops need to keep stocked up, especially if they've been in business a long time! I cased this off Mary Fish, from Stampin Pretty - Thank you, Mary!  The stamp set is D is for Dog from Stampin Up, and the cardstock is Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, and Blushing Bride.  The ovals had to be trimmed down a bit after punching, so they may be slightly uneven, but I just loved the idea of a punched paw!

Serene Birthday

It's been a while since I've made a sponged background card, so I thought I'd give it another try.  I've also been wanting to use the Great Blue Heron by Repeat Impressions Stamps.I made this card for the Outlawz' Sunday CAS with a Moon Challenge, but I'm not sure how CAS this is! LOL!  So I guess I'll have to enter it into several other challenges too.  The background was done with Memento inks and the Heron was colored with copics.  You won't believe how tempted I was to add some sparkle to the water and the edges, but then it wouldn't be CAS, would it!

Valentine Vertical Stair Card

I just had to make one more Valentine card before I put the Valentine stamps away!  Especially after I saw this pattern for a vertical stair card on Noortje's blog!  The little bear is a Penny Black stamp I've had for a while and the rest of the supplies are just misc from my stash, that I've probably had for a few years too.  The card folds in at the stairs to make an A2 size card and the LOVE stickers fit perfectly on the stairs!  Here are a few more views:

Happy Valentine's Day!

Just a quick post to wish you all a very Happy Valentine's Day and to show you what I've been busy with this past weekend.  I got this idea off Pinterest, so I can't claim it as an original, but I thought it was just the cutest Valentine for my grandsons to take to school.  The monkey is punch art from the Fiskar's blog and the shaped topper was cut with my Silhouette.  Now the banana runts were not so easy to track down, but I did finally find them at a candy store in the mall.  Carter needed 26 for his kindergarten class and Charlie needed 10 for his preschool class, so needless to say, grandma was busy!  Luckily I had plenty of valentines from last year for me to send out!
Will be back soon!
