Surfin Woody

OK - I know - I'm a little late for the release of this set, but I was busy playing with my Copics (and watching Copics tutorials).  I think I filled a sheet of this car before I finally got one that I liked!  So here it is, finally.  I still have some practicing to do, but it turned out ok.
The cardstock is just miscellaneous colors from my stash, as is the ribbon.  The woodgrain paper is from an Etsy shop called "blurs by ai"  and is the most realistic digital wood paper I have ever seen.  The panels are mounted on cardstock embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle's Cappuccino Star and the brads are embossed with the same embossing powder.  The sentiments, "Old Guys Rule" from Surfin Woody (set 456) and "Happy Birthday" from Sparkle N Sprinkle's set 416 Happy Birthday are both embossed with Mediterranean, which has the prettiest sheen that you can't see in the photo.  Complete directions can be found here.
So I'm off to do my beach scene for the other Surfin Woody - stay tuned!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Hotshot Crafts - One for the boys

  3. Love the wood panelling - and just the right amount of bling for a masculine card. Like how the Old Guys Rule fits in the center of that HB greeting - might have to borrow that idea!

  5. Wow! Talk about 50s/60s - this perfectly depicts those colors and flavor of the day. Uh-oh - I just revealed my age, right? LOL Your design elements are wonderful, the textures are great - it's a really nice man card with the wood panels background. How clever! I would never have thought of that! Your EP is done beautifully - very clear. Thanks for sharing a fantastic card and your take on the California scene!
